98P25 is an unnamed period-25 oscillator discovered by Noam Elkies in October 2002. In terms of minimum population, it was the smallest known period-25 oscillator until the discovery of an improved version of the pattern. The improved version, found by Matthias Merzenich on January 10, 2016, replaces the west and east fumaroles with eater 1s.
