Period-856 glider gun is a true period-856 four-barrelled glider gun found by David Buckingham in 1991. It was one of the first known Herschel loops, and it features four copies of dependent p8 conduits labelled L214.
A 127-glider synthesis for this gun capped by four eaters was completed on February 2, 2022,[1] which was later improved to 110 gliders with the help of Dave Greene,[2] and then to 104.[3][4] It is not known whether this was the first glider synthesis of the gun to be created.
