5blink is a small period-5 oscillator found by Scot Ellison in July 2011. It contains a blinker that is rephased repeatedly.
Its stator includes a tub acting as a rock. This can be replaced with a boat, beehive, loaf, mango, small lake and most other still lifes with a similarly placed cell.
It emits a dot spark which can be useful for, e.g., constructing the period-15 glider gun and reducing the p55 pre-pulsar hassler and the p90+40n variations of the p50 glider shuttle.
