Achim's other p16 (also called 96P16.1) is a period-16 oscillator consisting of eight copies of lumps of muck hassled by eight toads. Achim Flammenkamp discovered the engine on August 7, 1994[1] on a 32 × 32 torus in which copies of the engine mutually support each other while interacting with cis-mirrored bookend. Dean Hickerson found a finite stabilization using Kok's galaxy later that same day. The toad supports shown at right were found by Bill Gosper on August 17, 1994.[1]
Jeremy Tan found a 64-glider synthesis for this oscillator on June 7, 2019.[2]
