A spark-coupled oscillator is an oscillator conctructed from two smaller sparker oscillators, so that their sparks interact to create a slightly longer-lived spark. Spark-coupling two oscillators of different periods is a simple way of constructing oscillators of a composite period. Indeed for period 45 no other kinds of oscillators are known, and for several (bolded in the list below), the smallest known oscillators are spark-couples.
Spark-coupled spaceships are also possible in theory.
