Unix on Rich's p16 is a period 48 oscillator that is composed of a unix and Rich's p16. Although it is composed of two oscillators of smaller periods (6 and 16 respectively), it is considered non-trivial because it contains a single cell that is alive in one generation and dead in the other 47 phases of the oscillator. In terms of its 52 cells, it is the smallest known non-trivial period 48 oscillator.
