Unix on 34P14 shuttle is the smallest known non-trivial period 42 oscillator. Although it consists of a unix and a 34P14 shuttle (which have periods of 6 and 14 respectively), it is considered non-trivial because it has one cell which is alive in generation 5 and dead in the other 41 phases.
