This is a template for including a Java and RLE link to a pattern below its image. To use, place {{JavaRLE|patternname}} in the page where you want the Java and RLE links to appear, replacing patternname by the name of the pattern. You may also include another parameter to make the links shorter as follows: {{JavaRLE|patternname|brief}}.
To link directly to an RLE encoding of a pattern without that pattern having to be included in the pattern database, do something like the following: {{JavaRLE|rle=bo$2bo$3o||brief}} -- but please only do this for small or relatively unimportant patterns. Important patterns should be added to the official database.
