Beehive with hooked tail is a 12-cell still life consisting of a beehive and an attached hooked tail.
Commonness
- Main article: List of common still lifes
Beehive with hooked tail is the eighty-eighth most common still life in Achim Flammenkamp's census, being less common than trans-loaf on table but more common than beehive with nine.[1]
It is the 92nd most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue, being less common than cis-boat on cap but more common than trans-boat with nine. It is the 12th most common still life with 12 cells, being less common than beehive at beehive but more common than beehive with nine.[2]
The octo3obj database contains eight collisions with this still life occurring in the ash.
Glider synthesis
On March 27, 2007 Dean Hickerson found a 4-glider synthesis of this still life.[3] A number of known syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[4]
