The Wikipedia article on "Pseudo-polyomino" includes galleries of polyplets with populations from 4 to 7 in image form.

Otherwise, you will need to find or build a script that runs through all polyplets up to a certain order. And for a complete assessment, you will need to assess every possible "cluster" — groups of cells such that any cell can be reached by any other via consecutive pairs of king moves, possibly with gaps in between, such as:

And then there are an infinity of potentially nontrivial patterns with 3 or more cells, since two cells next to each other could expand outward and interact with a lone dot far away. However, you can ignore this case for now.
Someone at the Scripts forum can help you with the polyplet and cluster cases. The hard part is identifying infinite growth.
