Agaricity

One should be able to define such concept or notion for most of patterns as :

  • The maximum density obtained by juxtaposition of similar patterns.
    • E.g. the snake's agaricity = 1/3, because it is able to build Herparian agars of density 1/3.
    • For blocks, it might be 4/9 (sowing of blocks separated by 1 cell).

In this generalised agar concept we seem to be considering patterns of patterns. Wondering if that might be of some use in any research field today ?
