Mold on rattlesnake is a period-44 oscillator that is composed of a mold and rattlesnake. Although it is composed of two oscillators of smaller periods (4 and 11 respectively), it is considered non-trivial because it contains a single cell that is alive in generation 21 and dead in the other 43 phases of the oscillator. In terms of its 45 cells, it is the smallest known non-trivial period 44 oscillator.
