Occurrence

It is the 94th most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue, being less common than trans-boat with nine but more common than beehive with nine. It is the 6th most common still life with 15 cells, being less common than trans-boat on dock but more common than cis-bun and wing.[1]
Glider synthesis
Bob Shemyakin found a 4-glider synthesis of this still life on June 27, 2014.[2] It also appears in the ash of some 3-glider collisions, for example:
