Mold and long hook eating tub is any of four closely-related period 12 oscillators that are composed of a mold and a long hook eating tub (which is most commonly seen in candlefrobra). With a minimum population of 24 cells, it is the smallest known period 12 oscillator, though it is usually considered trivial because there is no individual cell that oscillates at the full period (as it is made up of a period 3 and a period 4 oscillator). The smallest known non-trivial period 12 oscillator is dinner table, with 33 cells.[1]
