Although it is composed of two oscillators of smaller periods (5 and 16 respectively), it is considered nontrivial because it contains a single cell that is alive in one generation and dead in the other 79 phases of the oscillator. In terms of its 52 cells, it was the smallest known nontrivial period 80 oscillator until the discovery of Fumarole on Rob's p16 in 2020.
