56P6H1V0 is a spaceship discovered by Hartmut Holzwart in April 2009[1] that travels at a speed of c/6 orthogonally. With 56 cells it is currently the smallest known orthogonal c/6 spaceship, surpassing dragon with 102 cells.
The final step for a glider synthesis of this spaceship was found by Goldtiger997, Tanner Jacobi, AforAmpere, and Aidan F. Pierce on March 22, 2020.[2] A complete synthesis was posted by Martin Grant on March 25, making 56P6H1V0 the first c/6 orthogonal spaceship, and the first period-6 spaceship, to be synthesized.[3] Improvements to the synthesis have since been posted.[4][5]
