Great search results LaundryPizza03. It might take a while before I get to the next update because I need to slow down on CA time. The c/2 results in particular I take a bit longer to add because I and AforAmpere are still manually inspecting them, although there aren't too many in your recent posts.

Many of these ships attain a high population; for instance, the first 15-cell ship reaches a peak population of 432 cells. So maybe a higher population cutoff will uncover a few more ships.
Some of those replicator based frontends provide good search material. The search I ran based on the (36, 28)c/128 I mentioned didn't actually find a smaller ship at that speed but it did find quite a lot of other new and improved speeds (all included in one of the previous updates).

There are many spaceships in the 5S collection with max populations greater than 500 which came from searches that 2718281828 and others have run. The search parameters in the published version of the matchPatt2 script are just defaults that I found gave good results at a reasonable search speed for the majority of searches I ran. I encourage you to tune those parameters to the particular searches you run, and I suspect with the number of searches you've run you'll be starting to develop a feel for that. Have you used the latest copy I published with the additional maxDim test? That's likely to give a bit of a search speed improvement for the c/2 searches which would compensate for the slowdown by increasing maxPop.

They are really freaky. I really like how they become an amorphous blob that looks like it's going to slowly decay to nothing and then suddenly out shoots the c/2 engine to repeat the process all over again.

I noticed that one while looking at a few soups, which reminds me that I forgot to discuss how productive the rules these "close to c/3" ships are. This rule (with the 29c/112) is pretty sparse, as is the rule with the 14c/52 diagonal which is very similar. The rule with the 28c/110 leaves a bit more stable ash behind and the rule with the old 9c/32 is quite productive. Surprisingly the rule with the 12c/38 diagonal decays fairly quickly to a common p5 oscillator and various small p2 oscilators.
The 5S project (Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds) is now maintained by AforAmpere. The latest collection is hosted on GitHub and contains well over 1,000,000 spaceships.

I manage the 5S project, which collects all known spaceship speeds in Isotropic Non-totalistic rules. I also wrote EPE, a tool for searching in the INT rulespace.

Things to work on:
- Find (7,1)c/8 and 9c/10 ships in non-B0 INT.
- EPE improvements.
