Re: Catagolue Oddities
The page for the Schick Engine lists two C1 soups, but both links point to the same soup (the original one). Meanwhile, the xq12 tabulation lists only one occurrence, as expected.

Re: Catagolue Oddities
That's because of me, I tested catagolue evilly for a hypthetical bug and resubmitted the Schick engine haul but with a different seed root. It was promptly fixed by calcyman

Re: Catagolue Oddities
A 12G synthesis for xs17_8p7gs26z23 was submitted to Catagolue and according to this job log was processed correctly:
Despite this, the object page still has an obsolete 33G synthesis:

Doublespam; one person is searching it too much with minimal-size hauls every 30 seconds, and the other has a spammy name.A for awesome wrote:Spam: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/b3s234ce/1x256

By telling Catagolue that you found 10^15 instances of a particular object. (You couldn't get away with this in a real census, because there are statistical tests and peer-validation and so forth...)Moosey wrote:... even manage to upload a quadrillion objects?

Yes, they were down due to an integer overflow problem, and I've deleted the offending censuses (as well as implementing provisions to prevent a repeat of this)._zM wrote:User pages are back up.

Is there any way to block that specific person?

And um why is snowflakes C1 gone?
I guess that puts X3VI as #1

The same guy uploaded a troll haul to that census as well: https://catagolue.appspot.com/haul/b2ci ... ommitted=2testitemqlstudop wrote:And um why is snowflakes C1 gone?

Re: Catagolue Oddities
I refer to them as Uploady mcGetYourOwnSymmetry (or just “Uploady”), if we need a unique name for these Sakagolue/Snowflakes/thatothersymmetry trolls (apparently there are multiple, forming a (according to Uploady II) “Nice coding community”. I think we can all agree that at least the first word doesn’t apply very well here. What kind of kind people ruin someone's Symmetry?)Ian07 wrote:The same guy uploaded a troll haul to that census as well: https://catagolue.appspot.com/haul/b2ci ... ommitted=2testitemqlstudop wrote:And um why is snowflakes C1 gone?

Also, why does X3VI need to be #1 again?

Re: Catagolue Oddities
OK, look, if this gets serious to the point where a whole rule with 700G objects is getting broken, Uploady II needs to be IP-banned. (And is there a way to remove the "ylwarning" from the census?)
It is possible to reject all hauls that don't pass:
1. a soup/object ratio consistency check
2. an object well-formedness check
3. a top 5 most common object identicality check
Spamming censuses are an effective way of getting attention, anyhow... negative attention.
(And why do I think majestas did it?)

A fake glider is listed with rank 1 in logarithmic replicator rule:

Re: Catagolue Oddities
This is an artifact of a now-fixed bug in apgsearch which I think caused it to search a different rule than intended? I'm not sure of the specifics but I remember that it affected the Morley census as well: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/b368s245/C1Naszvadi wrote:A fake glider is listed with rank 1 in logarithmic replicator rule:

Notice in Morley that the xs1 tabulation is displayed but is completely empty, and that some of the larger still life tabulations also contain fake objects.
