Yeah, a few of the oldest yls have apgcodes corresponding to their dates of discovery; I presume this was before apgsearch had a proper way of describing the parameters of yls like it does now.

Re: Catagolue Oddities
Actually, as I recall it these names are due to the patterns originally being classified as zz_LINEAR; Calcyman manually renamed them, but used the date on which they were discovered rather than computing the "proper" hashed yl code.77topaz wrote:Yeah, a few of the oldest yls have apgcodes corresponding to their dates of discovery; I presume this was before apgsearch had a proper way of describing the parameters of yls like it does now.

Re: Catagolue Oddities
Some anonymous douchebag added a spam haul with a fake object count to the Snowflakes census: http://catagolue.appspot.com/haul/b2ci3 ... bf42792304
Calcyman, can you delete this ASAP?
I also propose blocking people from apgsearching anonymously, so anyone who tries this kind of trollery in the future can immediately be held accountable. Or, if that's too strict, require anonymous hauls to be verified before entering the census for all rules.

Re: Catagolue Oddities
Jeez, it's not even a good fake either. I had some ideas for low-computation verification procedures I may send to calcyman.77topaz wrote:comment
Adam may also be able to trace the IP and find out who it is.
EDIT: Oh, and I guess technically that makes Snowflakes the first INT rule to reach 1 trillion! Congrats, Anonymous, you earn a smack upside the head
Re: Catagolue Oddities
The troll haul also pushed Snowflakes past the 1 trillion objects threshold to require verification, and it appears Snowflakes verification isn't working very well, throwing a rather large number of hauls into the red zone (?committed=4): http://catagolue.appspot.com/haul/b2ci3 ... ommitted=4
In fact, more than three quarters of the hauls added since verification began are reddened.

Re: Catagolue Oddities
I've modified the backout process to readjust numsoups and numobjects, and backed SAD's haul out of the census. Now Snowflakes is below the 10^12 mark, it's returned to accepting hauls without running Parmenides (the combination of statistical tests, object validity checks, and peer verification).77topaz wrote:Some anonymous douchebag added a spam haul

Re: Catagolue Oddities
SAD is still shown as the top searcher on the pie chart though. Also, is there a way you can reaccept the previously rejected hauls from ?committed=4 that were legitimate?calcyman wrote: I've modified the backout process to readjust numsoups and numobjects, and backed SAD's haul out of the census. Re: Catagolue Oddities
The troll haul still shows in the Snowflakes pie chart, squishing all the other sectors down into a tiny 1% slice. Would you be able to fix that?calcyman wrote:I've modified the backout process to readjust numsoups and numobjects, and backed SAD's haul out of the census. Re: Catagolue Oddities
This tabulation does not appear on the main census for this rule: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/xsheepca/C1/xp4
Re: Catagolue Oddities
Yes it does. Note that there's potentially a 10-minute delay because the main census page is cached.Ian07 wrote:This tabulation does not appear on the main census for this rule: https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/xsheepca/C1/xp4

This is weird. Seems that pages can be created that link to near-arbitrary other pages (that then link to others, and so on).

Re: Catagolue Oddities
Why does this page have a PD synth as part of its synth when the PD isn’t actually anything to do with the synth? (And indeed, would actually interfere with the synthesis)

It seems like a weird test thing.

Re: Catagolue Oddities
There was a bug with Shinjuku where syntheses weren't being separated correctly during Catagolue's update process. The bug's been fixed now, but the affected syntheses are still broken:Moosey wrote:Why does this page have a PD synth as part of its synth when the PD isn’t actually anything to do with the synth?
