To search for higher speeds we need caterpillar script: shoot a diagonal glider into an armada of vertical gliders, hopefully get a glider output which travels faster than c/4.

To design a spaceship - one should send a block far back with maximal speed and use an arm command to copy the conduit + send the conduit tape to the new location. This design shows the ability to move with any speed < c/4.

Looks like you have all the pieces except the two pesky A's, right?

It seems like those might be difficult to fit in there at the period you've chosen. As usual, it makes it a lot easier if a recipe can be found that doesn't have inputs coming in on the exact lanes that the output will need -- even if the recipe is a lot more expensive.

It might be a good idea to widen out all the loops to p320 or something like that, to give the xq12_ouirf1z1 enough time to get out of the way of the next A insertion. But if it's needed it's easy enough to increase the gun periods until the recipe works repeatably.

Also I'm still kind of hoping another rule name will show up that I can vote for. There's nothing terribly wrong with "Microchips", but it would give an awful lot of false positives on a Google search. It's nice to have rule names where the word is as new as the rule.

I agree. For some reason I don't like 'microchips' as well. Maybe something like 'construct' or 'constructor' could be part of the name, because the special properties useful for construction-based ships are special for this rule (even though there are engineered ships in this rule too).
Another natural candidate which is more in line with dominoplex would be something like 'blockplex' or 'blockoplex' or something related which gives the block the main role.

Now, personally, I don’t see a problem with that other than that you need to tell people how to pronounce Cijnanqy as “say naan key”, but that definitely isn’t a name of anything else.

I've been mentally referring to it as 'B2ein'. Maybe Einstein, because there's ein (one) common stein (stone/still life), the block.

Maybe that's a stretch.
