What I think is a new small p3:

Code: Select all

Great! I had seen that near-shillelagh but didn't know how to complete it.
We now have a shillelagh synthesis that allows this component:

Code: Select all

x = 25, y = 30, rule = tlife
11bo$9bobo$10b2o4$16bobo$17b2o$17bo4bo$10bo10bo$8bobo10b3o$9b2o3$bo17b

The elevener is now the only one of Life's 50 most common SL's that functions in tlife but lacks a synthesis.

Wow! How did you find it?

It appears to give off similar sparks to the p160, so maybe there's a gun using it.

As a side note, it's really fun to run in LifeViewer with step 32.

Wow. That is fun. I found it using a basic python brute force script I wrote, similar to gsearch.

Also, it can reflect a glider 90 degrees:

Nice! Here's a 135 degree G->T:

Code: Select all

x = 49, y = 53, rule = tlife
9$28bo$28bobo$28b2o6$21bo$19b2o$20b2o7$7b3o7b3o$6b2ob2o5b2ob2o$5bo3b3o

The 90 degree reflector, 135 degree G->T and 135 degree T->G work at p33, but the 45 degree G->T doesn't.

Would this be considered explosive growth? It produces many spaceships (and eventually, more replicators) in no particular fashion:

It would be considered PATHOLOGICAL in the vein of the similar corrupted replicator streams in regular HighLife.

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 17, rule = B3/S2-i34q
6bo$4b3o$3bo$3b2o9$bo$obo$obo$bo3$5o$3b2o!
Edit 2: Two transparent beehives involving the S pattern:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 9, rule = tlife
bo$obo3bo$obo3b2o$bo3bo2bo$7bo!

Code: Select all

x = 21, y = 10, rule = tlife
7b2o$6bo2bo$7b2o15$bo$b2o$o2bo$2bo!
The first one is in the same position as the second natural beehive produced by the S, and is immediately deleted and replaced when it interacts, meaning an S generator, properly catalyzed, could act as a beehive keeper. I got really excited when I saw the second one, but the restored beehive is unfortunately the FNB (which is soon destroyed), not the SNB (which is permanent). It could still be useful, though.

T moving hive reaction, similar to the glider moving block in regular Life:

Code: Select all

Two transparent-block reactions:

Code: Select all

x = 15, y = 13, rule = B3/S2-i34q
11bo$10bobo$11b2o5$2o$2o3$bo$obo2$3o!

Code: Select all

x = 15, y = 15, rule = B3/S2-i34q
12b2o$11bo2bo$12b2o2$2o$2o6$bo$obo2$3o!
The first one is more amusing, but I think the second one has more potential. The beehive there does not need to be a beehive exactly; a loaf works too (there may be other things). If there is a catalyst that could also restore the block, it could lead to a stable T reflector.

A genuine, if extraordinarily useless, SFx11S conduit:

Behold the might TDryLife rule, which is not explosive and honestly doesn't seem that interesting:

Code: Select all

@RULE B37_S2-i34q

*** File autogenerated by saverule. ***

This is a two state, isotropic, non-totalistic rule on the Moore neighbourhood.
The notation used to define the rule was originally proposed by Alan Hensel.

I wonder, could you link these puffers up to make "dry corderships"?
