Some time ago I was working on a version of apgsearch for non-totalistic rules. It's been unused for a while but I thought I should dust it off for this rule. In particular, the addition of searching in symmetrical soups found the p8 as well as a few other oscillators with D4 symmetry.
There are still quite a few issues with searching non-life rules that I don't know how to deal with. This has deterred me from posting a version of the search tool publicly, but I would like to work through some of these and get a version out there. I hope to post more details on the
Hacking apgsearch thread soon [No guarantees]. In the meantime, some more results posted below.

Thanks for the link. I updated the collection with the skewed variant of the 2c/4 and updated it again to switch the rule back to tlife. I also added a separate collection for diagonal ships - currently c/4 only.
