Light-duty CA software. Good for messing with alternating rules.

This definitely looked interesting when i saw it on discord.

A transition selection like that that also allows for non-isotropic specification would be an absolute godsend...

There's nowhere to fit 512 buttons :(

Just add a button somewhere that says "allow non-isotropic selections". If active, pressing on one of the transitions would show up to eight buttons in the center of the screen that could be toggled on or off.

Sure. Do you have a mockup of what it might look like?

Alright. Please do. The hardest GUIs to implement are the ones that you can't see.

So there would probably be some sort of button on the menu on the left that says "allow non-isotropic selections". If pressed, and then a transition is pressed, you'd get this window, which would display all 2, 4 or 8 of the transition's variations.

Here's how the B4k transition would be laid out, for example:

Each could be toggled on or off like any of the other transitions on the left bar with isotropy.

Thanks! I'll start working on it when I'm ready. In the meantime, do you have any other features you would like to see added?

You'll regret asking that soon enough.

Would range-2 vN isonontot be a possibility, using the conventional notation?

Not without a significant change in the code.
EDIT: Sorry, but there's one thing that I forgot to ask about. Can you draw out such an "allow non-isotropic transitions" button for me? I don't know what it should look like.

Surely it'd just be a rectangle containing said text?
