wick ships?

Post by Pooping_Alien » April 12th, 2012, 3:32 pm

What wick ships do you know besides 114p6h1v0's front part ("faces") and the one listed in "tagalong" under LWSS in LifeWiki ("Bell's Bugs")? Here's the comparison of the two:
Bell's Bugs - frontally stabilized by a "survivor" (pattern that survives without the wick bit), dies into a pair of gliders moving forwards relative the wick's direction, has a sustain delay of 1, so the next "bug" will have to be in previous generation, c/2, bit period = 4, wick period = 80
Faces - rear-stabilized by a "parasite" (a pattern that itself depends on the wick bit), dies into a beehive where its "mouth" (relative to a phase that looks like a face) would be, has no sustain delay (all bits are in same phase in any generation), p6, bit period = 6, wick period = ? (I didn't calculate it yet)
I am curious as to what other wick ships (stabilization of a single "bit" of a vector wick) exist in Game of Life.

P.S. Ants has a period of 5 since it has a 4-long p1 "bit" and a single space between those "bits". In 2-generation version of Marriage (2/2/3), an ant is a P1 C orthogonal extensible spaceship if rear cells of all 3 parts are G2. A predecessor to this is:
o--o
----
-oo-
This predecessor (ghost ant) is a C spaceship in no-history version of Marriage (2/2)
