You'd need to look at the hauls and just keep subtracting. You would need to replace '?committed=2' in the URL with '?committed=all'

The rumor on Discord, from testitemqlstudop eight and a half hours ago, is that wildmyron was the one who got to 400 trillion.

At this late date I'm not having much luck retrieving enough information from the haul list to confirm that rumor. All I've figured out so far is that you can get about 100 recent hauls, and committed=all just allows not-yet-verified hauls to be listed also. I guess for the purposes of calculating a particular object number, you'd just have to assume that unverified hauls will in fact be verified eventually.

Yeah, the last three hauls at 400 t 29 g obj were:

rliston, 23 G objects
arie paap, 9 G objects
rliston, 23 G objects

As luck would have it wildmyron's haul was commited first before rliston's.

Does this break the record for most soup haul?

http://gol.hatsya.co.uk/haul/b3s23/C1/0 ... dfb76683e7

Highlights:
  • E-buckaroo
    Bi-pentadecathlon 1
    3xMWSS-on-MWSS 1
    10 discoveries (1st - 20th occurrence)
Size is 502 KB. Took only 15 days on a google cloud 1-core VM.
With apgluxe getting so so much quicker I've thought of this: Users with the badge "Trillionaire" (or "Gigamyriad", etc.) have a haul limit of 5 MB.

The haul size limit of 1000 KB isn't there arbitrarily for the sake of it; it's because each haul is stored as a single entity in the Google Cloud Datastore, and there's a megabyte limit on the size of Datastore entities.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to store all hauls together (in say, a queue) and delete the oldest non-blue hauls?

The heck is going on with Catagolue's haul verification and commiting? The last haul in the census is at 8:48 and it's 11:47...

As G1 is about to pass SS in objects:

G1 already has 6% of the soups of C1.
If you add in thrown-out objects (roughly proportionate), G1 should have around 26 trillion objects.

Will the G and H symmetries ever be listed within the official symmetries, anyway? Or made into their own category?

They are already official.

Clarification: You see them for sample soups. However, on the main rule page, they might not be listed.

Could these two linear growth syntheses be added to Catagolue? I tried to submit them via the box a while ago but the update process ignored them apparently.

Catagolue glider synthesis LifeViewer patterns have the following script commands:

Code: Select all

#C [[ GRID GRIDMAJOR 0 THEME Catagolue ]]
The GRIDMAJOR 0 command is not required because it is defined as part of THEME Catagolue.

Would it be difficult to modify the daily/monthly statistics (i.e. bar chart) to color-code the amount submitted by each person, i.e. orange for biggest contributor and then more purple/blue slices above.

Also, why isn't there a "Users" page that displays an all-time / monthly / daily ranklist for object contributed?

Would unverified non-troll hauls be verified eventually even if they are from anonymous users?
Also, would hauls by anonymous users contributed to unprotected censuses (e.g. my k_Fqfx7YVJhwUf to B38S23 D2_x) be verified sometime?
These are my cases since I'm unable to make a google account.

I'm wondering, how did you managed to upload hauls to catagolue given that you are unable to make a google account?
Still drifting.

Uploading can be done automatically (and anonymously) with apgluxe and VPN (for connection).
I'm sure my hauls are uploaded successfully. It's just that they aren't verified.

Hmm, I'm not sure what the new rules are for anonymous hauls to unprotected cenuses, but there are no hauls, unverified or otherwise, recently submitted to https://catagolue.appspot.com/census/b38s23/D2_x . Does apgsearch give output on the console indicating that the haul was successfully submitted? Also, have you attempted to submit anonymous hauls to b3s23/C1 just to check that everything is working?

I suspect that anonymous hauls to protected censuses can only be verified by registered users, and most of the protected censuses don't see much activity since Carybe. So if nobody else is contributing to that census, then anonymous hauls will remain unverified.

And I suspect that for unprotected censuses, anonymous hauls have been disabled completely due to the recent Catagolue vandalism. If that is the case, then Catagolue should respond with a message accordingly which should be displayed in the console.

I have just done a verification run of the official symmetries in b3s23, and there were a few anonymous hauls which have now been verified. They were in C2_4, C2_2, D2_x, D8_4, and D4_x4. Perhaps they were yours? If you do submit further hauls to a protected census which no-one else is contributing to, then feel free to request someone to verify them. I am happy for you to send me a message directly, either here or on discord (if that works).

P.S. If a VPN allows accessing catagolue.appspot.com, then could it not also be used to create and log in with a Google account?

Edit: I've also verified three anonymous hauls in b38s23/C1
The 5S project (Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds) is now maintained by AforAmpere. The latest collection is hosted on GitHub and contains well over 1,000,000 spaceships.

It said something like "authenication succeeded; anonymous users may only contribute to protected censuses".I dunno. On the census page of Catagolue, there is a "b38s23/D2_x (2019-07-10 16:31:21)" in the "Recently updated" section.

Yes, my hauls are checked in.Thanks!

No.I made an attempt to register one, only to found it unable to send a verification message to my mobile phone.

Offhand don't see any skewed alignment in that URL. (?)

But thank you for linking to that page, anyway.

There's a completed period-2^86243-1 oscillator at the bottom, buried in the comments.

... Why?

I hadn't heard that anyone had cobbled one of those together, but then I haven't been in the habit of checking every random Catagolue comment page, just in case someone has posted an unrelated record-breaking pattern there.
