Actually, as I recall it these names are due to the patterns originally being classified as zz_LINEAR; Calcyman manually renamed them, but used the date on which they were discovered rather than computing the "proper" hashed yl code. I also propose blocking people from apgsearching anonymously, so anyone who tries this kind of trollery in the future can immediately be held accountable. Or, if that's too strict, require anonymous hauls to be verified before entering the census for all rules. dani Posts: 1021 Joined: October 27th, 2017, 3:43 pm Location: New Jersey, USA Contact: ### Re: Catagolue Oddities 77topaz wrote:comment Jeez, it's not even a good fake either. I had some ideas for low-computation verification procedures I may send to calcyman. Adam may also be able to trace the IP and find out who it is. Now Snowflakes is below the 10^12 mark, it's returned to accepting hauls without running Parmenides (the combination of statistical tests, object validity checks, and peer verification). SAD is still shown as the top searcher on the pie chart though. Also, is there a way you can reaccept the previously rejected hauls from ?committed=4 that were legitimate? googoIpIex Posts: 269 Joined: February 28th, 2019, 4:49 pm Location: Sqrt(-1) ### Re: Catagolue Oddities 77topaz wrote: Or, if that's too strict, require anonymous hauls to be verified before entering the census for all rules. Actually, it might be worth considering adding "trusted" flags to certain users.
EDIT:
Catagolue breaks when the apgcode claims a pattern is a spaceship with period 2^31 - 1.
