Please make a dedicated page for Margolus rules and plug in the notation here. At least it will help those Margolus investigators with Lifeviewer in the forum thread.

They do have a section here: Cellular_automaton#Block_cellular_automata but I agree that they could definitely use their own article.

See, that section isn't enough, compared with the way we introduce (isotropic) non-totalistic rules. (I hope it's not because Golly adapts to Hensel notation but not to Margolus CA notation, and fewer are investigating Margolus rules)
Talking about Hensel notation, why does the Alan Hensel page mention nothing about Hensel notation?

Unrelated, can we rearrange the content in the Random walk page so that figures align with texts?
And for the first pushalong of 114P6H1V0, there's something "shown below in green" which seems to be an artifact.

I'm not sure if you know that I invented the usage of "T" to mean "turn" in Pi and QB conduits. Please add "M" to mean "move" in HF and TL conduits.
The ENEERG-y of the EVAD is watching.
The 70th NAI-ve guy is watching.

Please see User:Entity Valkyrie 2 for my own pages.

Please see User:Entity Valkyrie 2/StateInvestigator. Expect me to post StateInvestigator patterns in ExtendedLife threads.

Yes, you were the one who added that line to the Conduit definition. Thanks for the reminder.

It seems as if you might still not be clear on how the LifeWiki works. LifeWiki articles should only document widely accepted terminology that's in general use. If you invented some terminology yourself, as you're claiming here, then there's no way it should be added to a LifeWiki article -- yet. If lots of other people are using the term, then it makes sense to document it.

Nine times out of ten, terms invented with the best of intentions don't ever actually get used, and after a few years any remaining traces of them in LifeWiki articles start to look fairly mysterious -- especially if the inventors don't bother to make it clear that they were the inventors. Whatever-it-is often ends up looking like Official Life Terminology, but it's impossible to find any actual examples where anyone ever used it.

The day after that T-for-turn edit was made, Freywa posted an update to the Elementary Conduits Collection that used competing terminology in place of "T" or "M", or Sphenocorona's "v" -- there were a lot of options floating around. Freywa's terminology is now baked into the names of various conduits in the ECC, which quite a few people use as a standard reference. So it seems to make sense to document that usage, rather than trying to switch back to the "T" or "v" syntax.

At the time I remember thinking that the "T" syntax was a reasonably good idea, so that edit didn't get reverted right away. Unfortunately it just hasn't caught on, for whatever reason. At this point it's just another good example of why people probably shouldn't make up new ideas and edit them into LifeWiki articles immediately.

There's a 32G synthesis of cross 2.
And symmetrical synapse is doable in 8 by replacing the block by a glider (submitted to catagolue).

These two sentences seemed somewhat contradicting to me:
Lifewiki wrote:The colour of a glider is a property of the glider which remains constant while the glider is moving along a straight path ... A reflected version has to be advanced by two ticks to bring it back to one of these "canonical" phases, which has the effect of moving the key cells to the opposite color.
Then I realized that the color-defining cell of a glider on a single lane is alternating between two adjacent diagonals (1hd away):
color.png
So in fact the concepts of quarter/half/full diagonal, lane (of a glider) and color are closely related. Can we explain all of them visually with a superimposed checkerboard agar in Lifewiki like this? (These images are created in golly with two layers)
hdfd.png
There was once some thoughts about one-time turners that I'm writing here but never mind now

PD-pair reflector is ... so that their V sparks turn a glider by 90 (or 180[citation needed]) degrees.
The 180-degree reflector is shown in 6 bits.
Also, the catagolue recipe for four molds hassling eight blocks comes from Mark D. Niemiec's website, apparently.
Also, a synthesis of Period-60 glider gun is seen in an xp60 entry.

How does the malfunctioning c/12 R-pentomino crawler meet the notability guideline?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I basically just tagged it as a stub and hoped someone else would either improve the page or realize that it wasn't notable and propose deletion. I've replaced it with a {{notability}} tag, which probability won't fix the fact that the page is just going to get ignored for another year, but hopefully someone can at least find some information out there about this thing, because I couldn't. At least the other crawlers have either forum threads about them or have been successfully turned into engineered spaceships.

Well, it's possible to actually make the crawler not destroy itself...

Yeah, that thing is probably not really notable, because the reaction just plain doesn't work the way the LifeViewer animation says it does. No matter how close it is to being a reburnable fuse, the trailing sparks prevent it from actually being one, and no amount of wishing will change that.

However, biggiemac did make a nice agar out of it, and said that it might mix well with Corderships or switch engines somehow, so maybe the page shouldn't just be cavalierly deleted.

As usual, it would have made things a lot easier if the author had just bothered to include a link to the forum postings where the pattern was discussed.

The Herschel transmitter variant displayed in the wiki employs a house siamese shillelagh(?), instead of a carrier siamese dock.
EDIT: The tagalong section of turtle needs updating as many posts about them have been posted.

Oops, that was my fault. Fixed in LifeWiki. Now have to go see if that confusion made it into the Life Lexicon also --
