Value Judgement

Post by bprentice » August 1st, 2013, 1:14 pm

I find the behavior and value judgement of members of this forum interesting. For example the following HighLife ship:

Code: Select all

x = 19, y = 43, rule = B36/S23
4b2o7b2o$5bo7bo$8bobo$4bobobobobobo$3bo3bo3bo3bo$4bobo5bobo$5bo7bo2$8b

is likely to be considered as having merit and worthy of inclusion in a collection of HighLife ships. While the following HighLife ship:

I don't see anything irrational on it. It's not a single ship, it's a convoy supporting certain reaction. Its individual ships are sure worth attention but to deserve attention as a whole the supported reaction needs to be interesting too.

I didn't say irrational I said interesting. Another way to look at this is to say that the first example is just a ship, while the second example is a collection of ships that form puffers that in turn form a larger ship.

I don't see much irrational behavior on this forum and find most of what occurs here interesting.

From your comment I guessed that you either don't understand or don't approve how the classification is made. If that's not the case then accept my apologies for trying to explain how I understand it.
