Oh man, that's really nice! Unfortunately that block is just barely too close to be fed by HL75P or HF95P, so without miracle this seems like it can only connect to the periodic BR176P (or RR204P which is currently a behemoth).
I haven't heard of RR204P before. Could you please show it to me?
I have historically worked on conduits, but recently, I've been working on glider syntheses and investigating SnakeLife.

It's just the 'stable' version of RF28Bd + BR176P which uses the former's glider output to (eventually) kill the problem blinker, as shown here. It's something that would be in yellow if it were included in the ECC since it's not really entirely elementary - but it probably won't ever be included there anyway unless a much simpler version is found (or BR176P itself becomes stable, making the glider unnecessary).

Ah, yes. I remember that but never bothered to figure out its systematic name. I suspect that BR176P can be made stable by itself, and I certainly hope that that's the case because of its phenomenal output clearance and because a completion would likely yield two other stable conduits.

Note that this spark only works adding a block to that specific b-to-h, I would have preferred a spark from a g-to-X or glider activated factory, but was not so lucky as far as I can tell. But it works at least.

Here's a chaos edgeshooting-reaction that starts with the standard transparent block for a typical dependent Herschel-accepting conduit:

Code: Select all

x = 18, y = 37, rule = B3/S23

Edit: While trying to clean up a pi-making conduit, I found a natural fishhook.

Code: Select all

x = 25, y = 50, rule = B3/S23

Another edit: This would be even better if someone could find an appropriate weld.

Code: Select all

x = 26, y = 27, rule = B3/S23

How did I not see that? It's not just that the solution is simple—I tend to overthink things a lot—but I've seen it before. That being said, knowing how well I've done in the past at welds and reductions, I really shouldn't be surprised. Anyway, here's a H->J+S that uses the weld:

I have added Sphenocorona's new H->2G to the Elementary Conduits Collection update draft and applied Entity Valkyrie 2's weld reduction. Here is the new version:
ECC update draft.txt
(536 Bytes) Downloaded 24 times
There's a good chance that someone else will find another conduit based on one of the reactions that I posted before I return. If that's the case (or one spots a missing conduits that was found a while ago), one may add that conduit to the file then post the updated version instead of having to wait for me to return.
I have historically worked on conduits, but recently, I've been working on glider syntheses and investigating SnakeLife.

Well, at the bare minimum (as far as non-exotic conduits go) this gives a nice H->2G with a new glider output, NE8T101 (known lane, new timing):

It appears to be a slight modification of the periodic H-to-3G in the P1152 gunstar here (Coincidentally, I discovered it a few weeks ago by trivially modifying that H-to-3G and assumed it was known)

Move that block and that's a stable circuit:

A renegade spark disallows the mirrored (by rotation) circuit to put it back there, but maybe something else does? (fair clearance I say).

here is an example of something that does not work ^^:

Here's another chaos-edgeshooting reaction that I found that starts with a dove:

Code: Select all

x = 41, y = 20, rule = B3/S23

I this one could have been posted in the still-life factory thread instead, it is best when only 1 still life is produced, but the clearance is quite good, so it should not matter. Maybe some stop-restart circuit could use that edgy pond.

Can anyone suppress the beehive?

Code: Select all

x = 45, y = 37, rule = B3/S23

Doing so would yield a H->2G.
