(Probably noticed before) Near-miss HRx74B conduit, in four variations:

I doubt that the transparent beehive reaction shown here can be saved, as the sacrificial block is a delicate reaction. But there might be some alternate catalyst option which can work here.

There might be a better B→G for this.

4.A$38.A.A$39.2A!
However, this solution is neither elegant nor has a fast repeat time. Perhaps there's a replacement catalyst for the block.
I am tentatively considering myself back.

Here's an O→R:

Code: Select all

x = 19, y = 16, rule = LifeHistory
11.2A$11.2A3$12.2C3.D$12.2C2.2D$10.3C4.2D$11.C2$3.A.2A$.3A.2A$A$.3A.2A
$3.A.A$3.A.A$4.A!
I suspect that the block would block the input most of the time, but I'm not sure. Could someone please give me a list of all of the two-glider octomino-creating conduits that we have?
I am tentatively considering myself back.

Bajillionth variant of RF28B which produces the known RNE-19T84 glider, but there aren't any conduits to insert the R here as far as I'm aware. Guess it's just another misfit conduit for now:

I see that that block acts as an "uneater", preventing a spark from dying off.
EDIT: The beehive is a "virtual catalyst". It exists for a little bit to perform its job, after which it disappears again, hence the name. Virtual catalyst.

Wow, nice find, Sphenocorona and AbhpzTa! It's relatively rare to find a new pi output that's actually usable, with enough clearance to be able to take some advantage of the pi's symmetry to produce alternate outputs:

I see that that block acts as an "uneater", preventing a spark from dying off.
EDIT: The beehive is a "virtual catalyst". It exists for a little bit to perform its job, after which it disappears again, hence the name. Virtual catalyst.
That's also how I suppressed the blinker here (although I would 'still like a stable completion).
I am tentatively considering myself back.

Don't know, but it's still better than the Achim's P144 stabilization. I'm more concerned about it bonking the sparker though...
