A beacon crystalizes a *"Multum in Parvo"* into an induction coil. (Edit: My mistake;;; It's just a tl and a teardrop making an unnamed meth slightly different from a "multum in parvo")
A pulsar with a boat makes a HWSS with some junk. With a correctly-placed block, it is downgraded to a LWSS.
Probably just previously-known, unsure discoveries.

I've been doing some multi-day searches on a spare quad-core machine, with the faint hope of straining some new Life form out of the soup -- a new puffer, maybe, or at least something really unlikely like a loafer that's never been seen escaping from random starting conditions before. Did a 10M apgsearch run in Life and the highest score was 35--ten higher than the next-highest. The soup creates a mold and two LWSSs. Don't know if that's an unusual high score in apgsearch yet, so, here.

Pi-like octomino + Block + Beehive = Another funky 22-cell still life.

Derived from this soup:

EDIT: From a reaction, a 10-glider synthesis of a 16-cell still life. Can be reduced to 9 with a way to put the domino spark there. I don't know such a way, though.

EDIT 2: Long shillelagh on dock, apparently doable in 9 gliders by someone who knows their sparks. Cleanup glider shown.

EDIT 3: Is an Octagon II soup worth anything?

EDIT 4: Reasonably simple blocker, but not an improvement on any existing syntheses. Maybe we'll have more luck if a caterer shows up?

EDIT 5: I'm having too much fun with making useless still lifes.
