Are we sure Catagolue can even handle five-digit period syntheses? I tried submitting a p10500 several days ago alongside a p6600, and only the latter appeared: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3949&start=50

I pinged Adam about it on Discord but he never gave a response.

If there's a symmetrical way to push those two blocks in there diagonally, that doesn't take that one extra tick to complete one of the blocks, then that will solve it. All of the relevant octohash results seem to use the same o$3o$o2bo$b3o! predecessor.

It's easy to use the current best Cloverleaf synthesis, as it uses the same predecessor, for a total of 8 gliders. Once can also do the same on both sides; unfortunately, most Cloverleaf predecessors form from a large plume on one side, making that side unmodifiable. This can be made to work from an earlier synthesis, however - for a total of 16 gliders.

It looks like someone have submitted a large number of barberpole syntheses to catagolue (I cannot check when because textcensus backups for synthesis-costs/xp2 like this gives a 500 Server Error to me) by repeatedly applying the following 4-glider length+1 component.
