Hello,

My name is Braden. I am a total noob. I am very interested in the idea of programming my own search tools in python. I am working on a script that can generate patterns to save the start pattern and results of their future generations into a library of data that can be browsed. My hope is to create training data to feed into some ML models that will assist in creating novel patterns.

Right now I am just working on the actual generation of the start pattern library, and over the coming weeks will work on running all of the patterns and storing their generational data into the library. I am aware there are other search tools available, but to me building the tool itself is what is fun.

Hi, I'm Para!
I'm just a normal guy who likes cellular automata, particularly exotic spaceships, exotic rules (non totalistic anyone), and evolutionary sequences.
I also apgsearch a bit (I'm Para6371 on Catagolue), although that's not my main focus.

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 19, rule = B3-qy4e5j6i/S2-cn3-k4i

i'm just a 23-old guy who likes kol, minecraft, making crappy drawings in paint, webcomics, making scripts that don't work and messing around in forums and irc. and playing life just to make cool fading text. and who hasn't updated his stuff since 2014.

also, sorry if i end up spamming or necroposting, i try my best to not do that but eventually it happens.

ok, english isn't my first language, i try my best to have good grammar and stuff but don't be mad at me if it's wrong, and my shift key is REALLY tight, resulting in me almost never capitalizing my text.
i have to toggle caps lock to comfortably capitalize actually, and that's very tedious.

edit: to write characters that require shift it takes me very long to type them because of how tight it is, so every edit takes longer than you'd think just because of the colon

Not everyone can afford a newer laptop with a wider screen. I have a moderately old laptop and a very old desktop but I understand that many people who are interested in CGoL/CA/recreational mathematics/whatever have just one old device.

im really into INT rules and other alien-like CA
I found out what CA was from that one cgol google easter egg, and ive been obsessed ever since.

not sure what else to put here, but ive never really been on forums in general, so all of this is completely new to me.
hope to find some cool stuff though

(Surprisingly I make my introduction after almost 0.5 years)

Hi, I'm b-engine, an active user on the forums. I often make discoveries in OCA (nbsearch2a soup search, engineering spaceships or corderize puffers) or sometimes even making OCAs (and recently multistate rules).
I doesn't contribute much in wiki, but I sometimes corrects some typos & suggesting some ideas. (EDIT: now also label speedy deletion for unwanted ruletable uploads)
I haven't made any notable discoveries in B3/S23 even after 1/2 years, but I'm planning on creating a self-supporting spaceship using B conduits.

I have a 2-years old laptop running Windows 11.

My name is Walter Hartwell White. I live at 308 Negra Arroyo Lane, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87104. This is my confession. If you're watching this tape, I'm probably dead, m**dered by my brother-in-law Hank Schrader. Hank has been building a m*th empire for over a year now and using me as his chemist. Shortly after my 50th birthday, Hank came to me with a rather, shocking proposition. He asked that I use my chemistry knowledge to cook m***********ine, which he would then sell using his connections in the d**g world. Connections that he made through his career with the DEA. I was... astounded, I... I always thought that Hank was a very moral man and I was... thrown, confused, but I was also particularly vulnerable at the time, something he knew and took advantage of. I was reeling from a c**cer diagnosis that was poised to bankrupt my family. Hank took me on a ride along, and showed me just how much money even a small m*th operation could make. And I was weak. I didn't want my family to go into financial ruin so I agreed. Every day, I think back at that moment with regret. I quickly realized that I was in way over my head, and Hank had a partner, a man named Gustavo Fring, a businessman. Hank essentially sold me into servitude to this man, and when I tried to quit, Fring threatened my family. I didn't know where to turn. Eventually, Hank and Fring had a falling out. From what I can gather, Hank was always pushing for a greater share of the business, to which Fring flatly refused to give him, and things escalated. Fring was able to arrange, uh I guess I guess you call it a "hit" on my brother-in-law, and failed, but Hank was seriously injured, and I wound up paying his medical bills which amounted to a little over $177,000. Upon recovery, Hank was bent on revenge, working with a man named Hector Salamanca, he plotted to k*ll Fring, and did so. In fact, the b*mb that he used was built by me, and he gave me no option in it. I have often contemplated s****de, but I'm a coward. I wanted to go to the police, but I was frightened. Hank had risen in the ranks to become the head of the Albuquerque DEA, and about that time, to keep me in line, he took my children from me. For 3 months he kept them. My wife, who up until that point, had no idea of my criminal activities, was horrified to learn what I had done, why Hank had taken our children. We were scared. I was in H*ll, I hated myself for what I had brought upon my family. Recently, I tried once again to quit, to end this nightmare, and in response, he gave me this. I can't take this anymore. I live in fear every day that Hank will k*ll me, or worse, hurt my family. I... All I could think to do was to make this video in hope that the world will finally see this man, for what he really is.

That was a joke. Please don't ban me for this...
