I'm probably going to use this thread to save glider collisions that I find and other things that might in handy later on. Here's a three-glider synthesis of a B-sequence where all of the gliders come from behind:

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 19, rule = B3/S23
obo3bo$b2o4b2o$bo4b2o14$3o$2bo$bo!

Edit: Here's a three-glider side-shooting of a spark that's sometimes useful:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 12, rule = B3/S23
bo$o$3o2$4bobo$4b2o$5bo3$bo$2o$obo!

Another edit: Here's a way to edgeshoot a pi-sequence:

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 8, rule = B3/S23
bo$obo3bo$2o3bobo$4bo3bo$4bo3bo$4bo3bo$5bobo$6bo!

Yet another edit: Here's a synthesis and cleanup:

Code: Select all

x = 60, y = 31, rule = B3/S23

2o$44bobo13$57b2o$57bobo$57bo!

Fourth edit: Here's a four-glider edgeshooting of a banana spark:

Code: Select all

x = 34, y = 31, rule = B3/S23
19bo$19bobo$19b2o23$3o28b2o$2bo28bobo$bo29bo$28bo$27b2o$27bobo!

Fifth edit: Here's a component version found by Blinkerspawn:

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 20, rule = B3/S23

I am tentatively considering myself back.

Be ABSOLUTELY certain that you can double - post on threads like this.
I once saw a whooping more than 50 EDITS AT THE THREAD FOR THE MARINE!
At the very least you will increase the chance for everyone to see them.
If not every time,then at least every fourth time is nice I would say.
Have a good day!

I'm posting this banana spark-edgeshooting reaction here so I don't have to keep digging through the Discord to find goldenratio's post with it.

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 8, rule = B3/S23
15bo$13b2o$14b2o$bo$2bo$3o5bo$7bo$7b3o!

I' m sorry, but creating "palaces" for another user is frowned upon.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Code: Select all

x = 21, y = 21, rule = LifeColorful
11.E$10.3E$10.E.2E$13.E4$2.2B$.2B$2B$.2B15.2D$19.2D$18.2D$17.2D4$7.C$
7.2C.C$8.3C$9.C!
I have reduced the glider cost of quadratic growth to eight and probably to seven. Looking for conduits...

No,it is not.

EDIT by dvgrn: Actually ColorfulGabrielsp138 is closer to being correct than BokaBB is. A home page for another user is almost always an unnecessary new thread creation.

If a user wants their own thread, they can easily create one themselves. There's no need for anyone else to get involved. In fact it's a bad idea for anyone else to try to be "helpful" in this way, since it can easily come across as rudeness -- i.e., hinting to someone that they should stop posting so much (except on this new out-of-the-way thread, where they won't bother the person who is creating the thread).

In point of fact, BokaBB's creation of a previous new thread along these very same lines triggered a one-month ban from one of the moderators. That seems to be very good evidence that this kind of thing is "frowned upon".

That first one uses the same edgeshootable house predecessor as BR176P.

Code: Select all

Here is a way to delete a century's three blocks with a single glider:

Code: Select all

x = 18, y = 19, rule = B3/S23
16bo$15bo$15b3o4$2o$2o5$2o$2o4$2o$2o!
