On the other hand, I kind of do enjoy watching these things evolve.
Still, wwei47,
please don't encourage new users to post more and more methuselahs, anywhere outside of a Sandbox thread.
This inevitably happens plenty often enough already, since new users don't usually read the forum rules right away, so it's hard for a newcomer to know how incredibly common this mistake is.
[This thread is now in the Sandbox, so now there's no harm in posting more similar patterns.]

How do you move a topic to another place?
Code:
Select all
#CXRLE Pos=-19,-8
x = 5, y = 12, rule = B3/S23
4o$4bo$4bo$4bo$4bo$4o2$2bo$2bo$2bo$2bo$2bo!
Pretty sure only admins can do that.

Not particularly long-lived or anything.
Code: Select all
x = 5, y = 6, rule = B3/S23
2bo$b2o$2o$b2o$2b2o$3b2o!

Herschel + pi = 500 gens:

This is a good glider+lwss synthesis for a methuselah.
Please stop posting useless methuselahs outside of the useless discoveries thread. It's getting annoying (which I'm sure is why rule four exists in the first place).
You must not behave like that with new users. They will go away if people behave like that.

This is exactly how you should behave with new users. Otherwise they will keep posting useless stuff. It helps them too. I have also never seen anyone leave the forums because of being warned.

Nice! Did you find it on accident? I think you should post it in the unsure discoveries thread.

But not as rude as that.
This one is pretty short-living but is still interesting:
Code: Select all
x = 4, y = 4, rule = B3/S23
obo$2b2o$o$4o!
/code]

I don't think it was rude at all. It was saying something as objectively as possible. As I said before, it was also helping you. Methuselahs just aren't generally interesting. On the other hand, your large still life methuselah is interesting, or maybe even notable because it's made of two common objects.

It's not interesting as a methuselah, it's interesting as a small pattern that produces a rare object.

Wow! Nice. How many of these do you make to find them? You should post them
here.
Edit: And a pulsar too!
