P30 took off because of the Gosper Glider Gun
( and there is STILL nothing "better" )
THEN P46 - Alan Hensel Style Memory Loops
But NOW CGoL is EXPLODING with all kinds of new utilitarian stuff, so
What Is The BEST Period to Focus Building On ?
I wanted to do a whole dissertation on factoring, ect.
But probably because I am going to focus on the Loafer, P420
420 is not divisible by 8 or 16 or 46, but I think I can live with that.
example :
regarding bitmap printers, tight spacing equals extra-fine-grain
Resolution
so as I was getting all excited about doing a 2-Engine-CorderShip BitMap Printer
( this is trivial after the hard work of fabricating Glider-to-X-SS-Converters has been done )
the huge period and the desire-ability of paste-in-ROM Functionality has lead to a real head-ache
in the attempt to select the Ultimate Period to work with - and results where more tighter MemTape
spacing than bitmap pixel spacing eventuate -is leading to a very frustrating experience in the short-term
but the promise of the Beauty of New Developments means that we know we can get Denser Memory Units ---
and larger bitmaps ! What I should be doing is working on C10 MemTape Fabrication so Converters can be added to
and PRESTO ! new-pixel bitmap printer instantly ! I am interested in studying Light - which for now amounts to a whole
lot of Observation ! the field is complex and non-trivial; but as we further our understanding it will become less and less so.
Thank You for Your Interest !
Cheers !
