In movies I often see innocent people being near the scene of the crime right before or after the crime has been committed. Did something like that happen? I think that that rules out the possibility of Jane helping Peter because she likely would have kept better track of her own things and because if she were Peter's accomplice, then she could have made room in the trunk while Peter was inside the church so that Peter wouldn't have had to rearrange it in a hurry once he returned to the car. Since there is no indication that John or Nick knew Peter, I conclude that they were not involved. There is a theoretical possibility that Peter stole the icon in order to trade it to Sam for the clock, but since Peter would not have needed Sam's tools and Sam likely would not have given Peter the clock until after Peter had the icon, I shall conclude that Peter acted alone.

I can automatically erase Tania. I think Max and possibly also Gabriela too. The only people I think have the chance to do that are Tyrone or Seth. A blind man was found unconscious from a gunshot. He was taken to the hospital and survived. His phone was stolen from him. The man said that the perpetrator was wearing gloves and a cap, so no DNA was found.
Suspects:
Tania: Neighbour of the blind man. Known to have good relations with him, but she owes the man some money after he helped her buy her house.
Tyrone: Blind man's employee. Has been asking for a raise for a while but because he is performing poorly, the blind man hasn't given him one.
Max: Owes money to his landlord and lives in a poor neighbourhood near where the blind man was found lying, though is known to be nice to others.
Gabriela: Owns a rival business to the blind man. Is the landlord of Max. Needs money for surgery.
Seth: Blind man's old business partner, but was found to be stealing cash from the register for himself.

There's a problem with that: The blind man wouldn't have been able to dispose of the gun while unconscious, and no gun was found at the scene. Maybe the blind man felt the perpetrator's gloves as the perpetrator stole the man's phone before falling completely unconscious?
