Many small still lives have an one-glider destruction. Those are very easy to find when one exists (just try all possible ways of hitting the target with a glider in Golly). Hence, if you found an 1G destruction of something, most likely there is no reason to post it -- anyone who needs it will be able to find it again.

Very many small still lives have a two-glider destruction where the two gliders arrive one at a time. Those 2G destructions are also too not hard to find in most cases. Try all ways to hit the target with one glider so that there are no escaping spaceships from the collision, and check if the final pattern of the collision has an 1G destruction. So there are not much reasons to post 2G destructions.

Now, if you actually spent some time trying to find an 1G/2G destruction of a small target object, and could not find any, then there are chances that the target is interesting enough to post it.

Note that for an object of size (n x m) of period p, there are at most (p * (4*(n+4) + 4*(m+4))) collisions of a single Glider with that object. Usually far fewer because of symmetry and objects being "rounded", i.e., not extending to all four rectangle corners.

Since the goal isn't a final census, but to find empty space, that's a task that can be done by hand fairly quickly, or easily automated.

Just set up the Glider at one extreme edge, on the path 2 cells beyond the target bounds, run for a few generations. If it doesn't look like it's dying, move to the next Glider path. Repeat until you are past the other extreme edge by 2 cells. Repeat for all eight (or fewer) orientations. Go to the next period if an oscillator.

If there aren't any, then you can still probably find a smaller/simpler object or constellation where you can repeat the process, and which can be removed by a single Glider.

Which is an interesting question. Are there any objects that require a minimum of three Gliders to completely remove?

I believe every still life with 22 or fewer alive cells can be cleanly destroyed with at most two gliders. viewtopic.php?p=168124#p168124

No matter how it is hit by one glider, either the collision will release gliders/spaceships escaping to infinity, or else it will be impossible to clean the final pattern by a second glider.
