Let me just say that these are very unoptimized. Within half a minute I found a single glider destruction for the 4 blocks:

Instead of destroying the debris that results from a single glider collision, you should try to put the glider in different places in different phases, (and if the object in question is an oscillator) different phases of the object too.

According to a quick-and-dirty script that combines apgcode-textcensus.py and glider_destruction.py, the following are all strict still lives with up to 16 bits without an 1-glider destruction.
If you manage to find an 1G destruction for any of these, that would mean my script was buggy. There might be some long-lived (> 1000 ticks) 1G destructions that were not detected.

I think xs19_0g8k48gka53z321 is the unique smallest strict still life without a two-glider destruction by a p1 slow salvo. In other words, no matter how you hit this xs19 with a glider, either the collision does not settle to a stable pattern, or the result cannot be cleaned by a second glider arriving from the same direction.
In addition, one of two orientations cannot be destroyed by a p1 slow salvo at all; after the first glider, there will be either blinkers or escaping gliders. Below is shown the other orientation, with an "almost 2G destruction" that creates a single returning glider:

EDIT by dvgrn: I moved this post to a somewhat appropriate thread, since it doesn't really seem like an "unsure discovery". However, it's not clear that posting 1G destructions of 26-cell still lifes one at a time is really going to be a good idea -- considering that we could easily write a script to run against all twenty-four million 26-cell still lifes, and produce a list of everything that has a 1G destruction, somewhat along the lines of what confocaloid has been doing above.
