once, there was an eternity of random black spots appearing and dissapearing on a grid. it never started. it never ended. at least, until order was formed. a being was suddenly forced into the world among the chaos. he was named b3/s23. he made sure that every cell only died of underpopulation and overpopulation, and that each cell had 3 parents. of course, this was not the only world. only just the first. b34/s34. b6/s16. b2/s0. by the way, every world was named after it’s god. b23/s23. b1/s2. factories were producing these. until suddenly, b12/s2-a. what is that? no one ever saw LETTERS where there should be NUMBERS! more and more of these rules were made, factories were built for these rules in specific. b3ai/s2. b6/s1-aeik. 010101010110. 011000101010101010110. wait what? they stopped generating letters, just rule tables! rule tables, the most powerful world. langton’s loops, lifehistory, rainbow, langton’s ant, evoloop, these were popping up everywhere! out of the second chaos, another being was forced into existance. it was not a being, but a collection of a beings called conwaylife.com. they were the mega-factory. every second their clever minds had thought up another rule table. and this is where we are now, among the chaos making more rule tables by the second. we started with chaos, and we ended with chaos. our rule tables are a bit more fancy now, but they are still the same in spirit. our only chance to end the chaos is to make one ruletable to consume all rule table. trillions of states, quadrillions of variables, quintillions of rules. this rule will delete all chaos, but also delete us. nothing will be out of order. no more factories. it’s all in this rule. we sacrifice ourself for true peace. true entropy.

A discussion on reddit (closed due to a high number of rule-breaking comments) contains an interesting quote attributed to D. Dennett "Intuition Pumps And Other Tools for Thinking"
quote wrote:[...]
I have always figured that if I can’t explain something I’m doing to a group of bright undergraduates, I don’t really understand it myself, and that challenge has shaped everything I have written. [...] Graduate students are often too eager to prove to each other and to themselves that they are savvy operators, wielding the jargon of their trade with deft assurance, baffling outsiders (that’s how they assure themselves that what they are doing requires expertise), and showing off their ability to pick their way through the most tortuous (and torturous) technical arguments without getting lost. For example, there was a recommendation in Category:Oscillators_with_rotor_Pole_5 that all Pole_N categories from 5 to 15 should be deleted, since they weren't used for anything except the relevant barber poles. However, when I tried removing Category:Oscillators_with_rotor_Pole_5, I ended up with a redlink, because of the '''|rotor = Pole 5'' entry in [[Pentapole]].

It doesn't necessarily seem like a step forward to remove all of the '''|rotor = Pole N'' entries, though maybe that is a good idea. I'd certainly be in favor of fixing the whole problem by combining all of the blahblahpole articles into a single article.

1: All of these statements are false - FALSE
2: There is a composite number of false statements - FALSE
3: The number of false statements before this one is prime - TRUE
4: The number of true statements is prime - TRUE

Statement 1 cannot be true. If it were true, it would contradict itself. Thus, statement 1 is false, and at least one of 0, 2, 3, 4 must be true.
Now let us look at statement 3. Assume it is true. Then, to satisfy it, one or both of statements 0 and 2 are false. If both 0 and 2 are false, the number of false statements must be 0 or 1, which is a contradiction. Thus, exactly 1 of these two statements are true, and statement 3 is true.
We know now that one of statements 0, 2 is true, and statement 3 is also true. Thus, statement 4 is true, making the number of true statements 3.
Now, we can see easily that statement 2 is false, and statement 0 is thus true.

It is at a constant temperature of 293.1K, and approximately sixty percent of the furnishings are composed of pure single-crystal gadolinium, which has its Curie point slightly above this temperature. All furniture obeys normal vertical gravity, but the non-uniform magnetic field pervading the floor causes the gadolinium furniture to be suspended in midair (unless a sufficiently large heat source, such as several people, enter the room, at which point the furniture will return to the floor until the heat source leaves). The floor seems to have a detectable electroweak anapole moment arising from an unknown source, although there are no practical consequences to this. Despite the gravity abnormalities, several companies have set up operations in this floor, including Microsoft, Soylent, Aperture Science, Kalrathas Starlines, and the Ytterbium Store, which sells several forms of pure ytterbium, as well as novelty items (with little to no actual ytterbium content) such as ytterbium-themed t-shirts and mugs, in a storefront located in room ᛟ3Θ'ᛟ-A. There are also several parallel computing units of unknown origin in rooms ᛟ220 through ᛟ236, appearing to be in use for running apgsearch and mining Dogecoin. Electrical outlets on this floor are of an unusual six-prong form (hot, neutral, ground, and what appear to be red, green, and blue color-conductive elements); the normal elements are compatible with US-standard plugs, but apart from the aforementioned parallel computing units, which utilize the additional holes in the outlets, chromotechnology (technology using the strong nuclear force for computational purposes) is unknown. Are there any new ways of catching that weird forward glider, or attaching Bx222 to some newly discovered conduit that that glider doesn't hit? I haven't tried to do a thorough check recently.

Wikipedia wrote:In combinatorial game theory, an impartial game is a game in which the allowable moves depend only on the position and not on which of the two players is currently moving, and where the payoffs are symmetric. In other words, the only difference between player 1 and player 2 is that player 1 goes first.

New rules: No posts that could possibly be viewed as negative. No making fun of other users. No quoting users with account ages less than 6 months.

The reason for the last rule is to avoid scaring off new users with unexplained attention to their posts.

My name is Walter Hartwell White. I live at 308 Negra Arroyo Lane, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87104. This is my confession. If you're watching this tape, I'm probably dead, m**dered by my brother-in-law Hank Schrader. Hank has been building a m*th empire for over a year now and using me as his chemist. Shortly after my 50th birthday, Hank came to me with a rather, shocking proposition. He asked that I use my chemistry knowledge to cook m***********ine, which he would then sell using his connections in the d**g world. Connections that he made through his career with the DEA. I was... astounded, I... I always thought that Hank was a very moral man and I was... thrown, confused, but I was also particularly vulnerable at the time, something he knew and took advantage of. I was reeling from a c**cer diagnosis that was poised to bankrupt my family. Hank took me on a ride along, and showed me just how much money even a small m*th operation could make. And I was weak. I didn't want my family to go into financial ruin so I agreed. Every day, I think back at that moment with regret. I quickly realized that I was in way over my head, and Hank had a partner, a man named Gustavo Fring, a businessman. Hank essentially sold me into servitude to this man, and when I tried to quit, Fring threatened my family. I didn't know where to turn. Eventually, Hank and Fring had a falling out. From what I can gather, Hank was always pushing for a greater share of the business, to which Fring flatly refused to give him, and things escalated. Fring was able to arrange, uh I guess I guess you call it a "hit" on my brother-in-law, and failed, but Hank was seriously injured, and I wound up paying his medical bills which amounted to a little over $177,000. Upon recovery, Hank was bent on revenge, working with a man named Hector Salamanca, he plotted to k*ll Fring, and did so. In fact, the b*mb that he used was built by me, and he gave me no option in it. I have often contemplated s****de, but I'm a coward. I wanted to go to the police, but I was frightened. Hank had risen in the ranks to become the head of the Albuquerque DEA, and about that time, to keep me in line, he took my children from me. For 3 months he kept them. My wife, who up until that point, had no idea of my criminal activities, was horrified to learn what I had done, why Hank had taken our children. We were scared. I was in H*ll, I hated myself for what I had brought upon my family. Recently, I tried once again to quit, to end this nightmare, and in response, he gave me this. I can't take this anymore. I live in fear every day that Hank will k*ll me, or worse, hurt my family. I... All I could think to do was to make this video in hope that the world will finally see this man, for what he really is.

That was a joke. Please don't ban me for this...
