It looks as though some of these objects have been discovered before, although they are quite difficult to find (see this page).

In particular, the spaceship is contained in c1-ss.lif from the "M:b2/s" pattern collection and the rake is contained in c1-rakes.lif. I can't find the puffer itself exactly within those pattern collections, but several slight variants of it can be found in c1_puf.lif and p8.lif.

Still, very nice work, and this shows that we need to get a Seeds page up and running the LifeWiki to catalogue these things ;)

BTW I did not hear of any rakes or puffers, and when I looked up the website for spaceships for different types of rules (from Wikipedia, not the Life Wiki), I didn't find my pattern.

Yeah, it's painfully hard to find lists of known patterns in non-Life rules (and in some instances, even Life itself) since they're so scattered. Hopefully we'll have that fixed in the not-too-distant future ;)

I believe that the "blinker" you refer to is known as is called "checkers".

It is amazing how many structures emerge on Seed rule. Time ago we had reported new structures in Life rule B2/S7 that is totally equivalent to Seed rule (thanks to Dave Green), as well B2/S78. You can see a number of these structures and collisions from:

On the way, also I have constructed from a simple idea a device as double memory. This one use four glider guns and one oscillator that change on every collision.

Naturally occurring puffer and eater combo:

The starting pattern is only 8 cells! The puffer/eater combo is moving east ahead of the explosion at around generation 100. The puffer is not in the collection c1-puf but is only a slight variant. The eater is not new. There is also a small spaceship moving west ahead of the explosion.

There are three collections of B2/S patterns that I know of: two can be found here, and the third can be found here.
