Yet another cyclical 3-color rule, T11c12a21b-2a3a in my notation, which means the following:

1. 2 cells of 2 different colors give births to a cell of the third color.
2. 1 cell of one color and 2 cells of another color give birth to a cell of the first (minority) color.
3. A cell survives, if surrounded by 2 or 3 cells of the same color.

The survival rule ensures that all Conway's GOL still lifes work in this rule too (in 3 possible color phases). Many more still lifes are available; some appear naturally. This rule is abundant with a rich variety of natural orthogonal ships moving at the speed of light, rakes, puffers, 2 different c/1 replicators and breeders. Patterns tend to explode, but not chaotically; evolving networks of interacting infinitely growing replicators resemble Morse code.

By far, I've constructed a bulky and slow p350 prototype gun, discovered and built oscillators of many small periods, as well as simple replicator-based ones with exorbitant periods well over 10e8, collected and built some spaceships, puffers, rakes, breeders. By far, all discovered oscillators have only even periods.

Here is a replicator with a relatively reasonable large period of 50331642 (some others have periods too large to capture within 24 hours!):
