A topic for my less interesting rules. If my rule gets enough popular,I will make the separate thread for it.

This is what I am presenting for now:
Hats and Shuttles (B34iqwy/S23-cq)
Despite having some typical explosive transistions,this rule is very stable. It has some interesting oscillators:
Hat,very common oscillator that gives the name to this rule.
Tub shuttle,much rarer,but still noticeable. It is a hat hitting the tub,transformating to phi spark,laying the tub and again transformating to the hat.
Beacon is p3 in this rule,having one additional phase that looks like long ship.
There also exists one big spaceship possibly related with queen bee,one mutant xWSS and one extremly rare diagonal spaceship.
PortLife(B34cz5y/S234y8)
This rule has similar transistions to Pi puffer life (B34c/S234y8),but looks totally different. It features one very big pseudo still life that I call the port. We have also found many puffers,rakes and puffer engines.

This rule has a very common replicator based on Pi octomino (not a error,it needs 8 cells),that makes it explosive,but it is still interesting. One end of the replicator can be eaten by a tub,allowing construction of interesting shuttles . We have two guns based on replicator (and infinitely more on the same principle). There also exists at least three replicator - based spaceships,one small and two constructed.

Yes,you are right about the spaceship and the tub shuttle. I have also found p8 some time ago.

You can search explosive rules in the same way as I am searching them(and any other rules):I usually select an are with size about 500×500 or slightly bigger (or how much can fit on the screen) and random fill it. If there exists anything interesting and common in this rule,it definitely should be visible. However,in the case of the exploding rules you must look everywhere. On the other hand,I am usually searching Generations rules from a scribble drawn by hand,since they often will not look the same if I randomly fill a box.

Also,two fun facts:
1. My most interesting rules were publicized the same day as they were discovered or just a few later:Pi puffer life,Hats and Shuttles,Writers and some others(most of the rules paired in 4 were discovered also only a few days before publishing).
2. The rule Writers (B2-a3-inqr4c6/S23), characterized by common wickstretchers,is actually just a my improvement of the one earlier rule with the same wickstretcher,but much less interesting,with the rule string B2-a3k6/S236. Feel free to explore it,but it is incomparably less beautiful than B2-a3-inqr4c6/S23.
What method of searching for interesting objects do you propose to me?I will try to apgsearch,but I cannot guarantee anything.
Also,I would like to see a gun in Hats and Shuttles. Please apgsearch and explore it!

This rule is relatively simple,but interesting. Small soups tend to evolve into few objects.
Some interesting things:
There exists a ,,block ship", a common constellation of the six blocks arranged like the cells of a ship in Conway's game of life.
This rule is rich in the small oscillators.
There also exists a common wickstretcher and a common bi - block puffer. They are often seen in the big asymmetric soups,but are unlikely to appear in the 16×16 ones since they are big and usually happen only in the densest parts of the big soups. A wick of the wickstretcher can eat gliders,so it can be useful.
