This rule tends to produce blobs of multiplying dots, since population is not conserved.
Code: Select all
x=1, y=1, rule = M0,3,4,8,2,5,9,7,1,6,11,10,12,13,14,15
o!
EDIT:
1D 1-direction stretcher
Code: Select all
x=1, y=1, rule = M15,2,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,14,1,0
o!
Weird:
Code: Select all
x=1, y=1, rule = M0,2,1,3,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,12,14,13,15
o!

Can anyone find a non-reversible margolus rule which is like life in that it has:
- A common ship, which travels below C
- No spaceships at the speed of light
- Non-conserved population
Emulates explosive Moore neighborhood CA (I think) and brings literal meaning to "block cellular automaton"
Code: Select all
x=1, y=1, rule = M0,15,15,0,15,0,0,0,15,0,0,0,0,0,0,15
o!
