Mooselife (B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k)

Post by Moosey » February 3rd, 2019, 6:00 pm

Hey, another rule! I named it Mooselife after this extremely common oscillator (P3), which in one phase resembles antlers. I call it a Stag. (I did not name the rule after myself!)

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 4, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
2b3o$o5bo$o5bo$o5bo!
The oscillator is common for multiple reasons, mainly these two:

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 3, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
2bo$b3o9b3o$2obo9bobo!
Oscillators
By far the most common oscillators are the Blinker and the Stag. The former is more common than the latter, though the latter is produced in prodigious amounts by puffers.

Code: Select all

x = 18, y = 4, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
13b3o$3o8bo5bo$11bo5bo$11bo5bo!
However, other oscillators do exist, such as the toad.

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 4, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
o$2o$2o$bo!

Infinite Growth
Puffers:
There are a lot of Stagpuffers.
One extremely common one:

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 10, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
6b2o$6bo2bo$6bo2bo$5bo3bo$3bo3bo$b2o$bo$o3b2o$o2bo$b3o!
Before you press play, guess which way this one goes.

Code: Select all

x = 11, y = 3, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
2bo5bo$b3o3b3o$2obo3bob2o!
Here's a short table on short table puffer:

Code: Select all

x = 10, y = 5, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
b3ob3o$bobobobo$o2bobo2bo$o2bobo2bo$b2o3b2o!
Rakes
There are a handful of engineered rakes, such as

Code: Select all

x = 220, y = 904, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
104b2o$103b2o$105bobo$105b2o$106b2obo$106b3o$106b2obo$108bo$108bo15$

Hmm, you missed this:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 5, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
b2o$obo$o$3o$3bo!
EDIT: And the secret to why the MLWSS is so common -- it evolves from the loaf predecessor:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 3, rule = B34kz5e7c/S23-a4ityz5k
b2o$2o$o!
EDIT: And in the evolution of twin bees into a puffer, we have a 24-bitter:

I checked with 5S, and unfortunately 10c/26 unsimplified is not a new speed. :cry:

Here are 2 interesting soups in Mooselife:

Here are 2 interesting soups in Mooselife:
Short table on short table puffer:

Code: Select all

snip
I would say that these are known, and you can try apgsearch.
No luck putting them into B34kz5e7c8/S23-a4ityz5k(almost the same thing)
B34kz5e7c8/S23-a4ityz5k!!!
Mission: find a rule with 2-5ob,7-15d,3-5o ships and 4 sparky hp osc.

The Stag-Resistant Breeder (SRB) doesn't work either.
I don't have apgsearch.

Can someone abhpzta the breeder?
Given the amount of ash it produces, almost certainly not.
