Bugs R1 to R100 Project

So I was thinking we could have a project to make a collection of spaceships to Bugs converted from Range 1 all the way to 100! Convert using the script I made/Dean Hickerson's algorithm. We already have ships of R1, R4-R15, R50, and R100. I will post the files later.

We should have a canonical rule for each range, to keep variants out, and keep it organized, I suggest starting from the BugCollection file in the main LTL folder, and using the script to get all other ranges. I did notice that you R7 Bugs is slightly different from this though. It uses B63..83 instead of B63..84.
I manage the 5S project, which collects all known spaceship speeds in Isotropic Non-totalistic rules. I also wrote EPE, a tool for searching in the INT rulespace.

Things to work on:
- Find (7,1)c/8 and 9c/10 ships in non-B0 INT.
- EPE improvements.

I agree but I think tolerance until a legitimate one is found. Maybe we can have a 2-transition tolerance, for example, S1...3 > S1...4 or S2...3. We should also round things normally, not floor or ceiling. I think the R7 one was done manually and I floored and ceilinged one instead of rounding I believe.

Maybe, but only at high ranges, because low range ones almost always have spaceships, the R7 Bugs with the script still has a bunch of ships:

What method are you using to generate the rules? My R10 Bugs is S124..211,B124..164, while yours is S127..223,B127..186

EDIT, I am using your script, always converting from R5 to the range I want.
I manage the 5S project, which collects all known spaceship speeds in Isotropic Non-totalistic rules. I also wrote EPE, a tool for searching in the INT rulespace.

Things to work on:
- Find (7,1)c/8 and 9c/10 ships in non-B0 INT.
- EPE improvements.

When I used the formula to make a Bugs R2 rules, I ended up with a fractional number. What's going on?

Are you doing it by hand? Try rounding, which is what the script does, or just use the script.

Sure they are. Patterns can go out of their bounding box and diamond. Just like seeds, they can have spaceships even though they explode a lot.
