It's a cute little thing. If the wiki is correct, then this is the 12th elementary spaceship speed in HighLife. I assume you already completed 2c/7 odd and even symmetries at search-width 9.

I completed them both at w8 as well as asym, and the odd search at w9. The odd search seemed quite a bit more promising, so I hadn't run the other w9 searches before i kicked off the w10 odd search. It shouldn't take too long to run (< 1 CPU day certainly), but I haven't got timestamps for the other searches as i didn't save dump files for them.

Edit: actually, I hadn't run the asym search, but i have run 3c/7 at w8 for asym, odd, and even symmetries.

I ran 3c/7 up to w11 a while ago with gfind for odd, even and asymmetric. Sadly no positive results.

For completeness I ran the asym and even sym w9 searches with qfind as well. They were both negative.

The odd width 10 search is still running, but I don't think it will be completed before I give up on it. As happens with these searches the progress has slowed down considerably after finding this small ship.

I completed all 3G synthesis, unfortunately no further synthesis of a high period oscillator or ship occurred. Concerning spaceships with 3G we have only the LWSS and MWSS (but no HWSS). There is also no bomber, thus the 4G bomber synthesis seems to be optimal.

There is one 3G->4G synthesis, but unfortunately not in very nice directions and distances:

Found with qfind after about 4 days with 3 threads
I find it interesting how the TL-pushing reaction at the front resembles that of CGoL's 2c/7 orthogonal ship, the weekender.

On Dec. 12, I came up with a partial synthesis of the 26-bit minimal form, but got stuck at the starting still-life. It turns out that the same method also works with this 27-bit form. My 3-glider igniter is more expensive, but the base still-life doesn't need the tub or boat, so it is be easier to synthesize (and also works with forms like the 26-bit one where the back of the bookend is fixed). I was able to further reduce the base still-life down to a viable predecessor using some slightly modified standard converters, and luckily, that one predecessor is found in one soup. I was able to create a full synthesis from 43 gliders, although some of the mechanisms are fairly hideous,
and can hopefully be improved (7 gliders to make a clean rear-facing pi via a spark coil, 8 to make a bun from below, 9 to make an eater).
