B2/S0 (Live Free or Die) p20 Oscillator

Post by Hdjensofjfnen » March 22nd, 2016, 3:47 pm

Has anyone noticed this p20 oscillator in LFoD before?

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 4, rule = B2/S0
o3bo$bobob$bobob$o3bo!
Minimum population: 6 cells
Maximum population: 40 cells

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 9, rule = B3-jqr/S01c2-in3
3bo$4bo$o2bo$2o2$2o$o2bo$4bo$3bo!

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 5, rule = B3/S2-i3-y4i
4b3o$6bo$o3b3o$2o$bo!

It does look familiar... p20, you say?! :shock:

Yes, that's the p19 monster.

Fun fact, here's a very similar p17 oscillator in b26/s0:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 4, rule = B26/S0
o5bo$3bo$3bo$o5bo!
