Also, the pre-pulsar is mentioned in the OP to be 11c/34, but the spaceship based on it is apparently 6c/17... what.

This rule is pretty rich in weird spaceship velocities.
We have 17c/47, 6c/17, and potentially 27c/74 (if someone gets around to taming that filthy puffer).
But, what about a ship from taming the 2D replicator? Is that even possible?

I've actually looked into this and it seems possible. However, it will likely end up as a sort of engineered spaceship, based more on waves than crawlers. The idea is that the wave pieces can connect in many ways, in some ways producing clean chains of still lives or streams of spaceships. A bunch of this stuff is then manipulated either by other streams of ships or such produced by the waves, or bounced off edges of trailing waves (simultaneously stabilizing them) and eventually produce a stream of ships towards the front's edges that stabilize them.

No, not really, at least in the spaceship building details. The 17c/47 produces extremely
clean debris which can easily be interacted with without damaging the engine, while the 27c/74 seems more fragile, not to mention that it produces extremely
dirty debris which will be a nightmare to clean. I think that the 2D replicator waveship is a much better goal to pursue at the moment, which would produce a 7c/29 orthogonal spaceship, which is slightly slower than the slowest currently known ships in this rule, the c/4 ships.
