125/36/3

Post by danieldb » October 5th, 2015, 10:28 pm

2x2 with extra 1 state:

First, a replicator:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 3, rule = 125/36/3
.A2.A$2A2.2A$.A2.A!
We can create a p12 c/3 spaceship with it.

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 11, rule = 125/36/3
.A2.A$2A2.2A$.A2.A2$.A2.A$2A2.2A$.A2.A4$2A2.2A!
And now for some oscillators:

A p8 oscillator, "unixrotor":

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = 125/36/3
2.2A$2.2A$2A.A$4A!
Another p8, "rotator":

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = 125/36/3
2.A$2A.A$A2.A$.2A!
Another p8 (noticing a pattern), unnamed:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 3, rule = 125/36/3
A2.2A$A.A.A.A$.2A2.2A!
A p6 oscillator, "Small K"

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 3, rule = 125/36/3
A.A$AB$A.A!
A p6 oscillator, "Big K"

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 4, rule = 125/36/3
A.A$AB$AB$A.A!
The p14 is now p18:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 5, rule = 125/36/3
2A$A2.A$4.A$.A$2.A!
A p4 oscillator, "To4d":

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = 125/36/3
.2A$A.A$.A.A$.2A!
This p4 is now p6:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 3, rule = 125/36/3
A2.2A$A3.A$.2A!
Another p4 to p6

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 5, rule = 125/36/3
A$.A$.A$2.A$2A!
A p6 oscillator, unnamed:

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 4, rule = 125/36/3
A6.A$2A4.2A$2.A2.A$3.2A!

A p4 osc, "2 tails":

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 5, rule = 125/36/3
3.2A$3.A$3.A$3A$A!
A p11 osc, "unnamed":

Code: Select all

x = 11, y = 7, rule = 125/36/3
2A$4.A$3.2A$4.A.A$6.2A$6.A$9.2A!
A p12 osc, "Paired M's":

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 5, rule = 125/36/3
5A$.3A2$.3A$5A!

You posted the patterns in such a way that they all explode. Is there any way to change it?

EDIT:

Twelve plus one is equal to eleven plus two, anagram or not.

Paste them into Golly, not the LifeViewer on this site. The viewer shouldn't actually be able to run the patterns - since they have more than two cell states - so it removes the extra states and flips the B/S part of the rule. That'll be fixed in the next update, according to the 'Pattern viewer for forum threads' thread.

A new natural p4 osc:

Code: Select all

.2A$A3.A$.2A.A$3.A$.2A!
A similar natural p4, but with 2 rotors:

This, for obvious reasons, is called a growing spaceship. Here it is on its own (left side), plus a slightly faster-growing variant where the replicators aren't emulating Rule 90:

Code: Select all

x = 30, y = 33, rule = 125/36/3
2A2.2A18.2A2.2A6$25.A2.A$24.2A2.2A$25.A2.A2$.A2.A$2A2.2A$.A2.A2$25.A
2.A$24.2A2.2A$25.A2.A14$25.A2.A$24.2A2.2A$25.A2.A!
And a quadratic growth pattern:

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 13, rule = 125/36/3
2.A2.A$.2A2.2A$2.A2.A2$2.A2.A$.2A2.2A$2.A2.A4$2A4.2A$.2A2.2A$2A4.2A!
...did you paste the pattern wrong? Quadratic growth has to be continuous; this makes only one pair of replicators before becoming a growing spaceship.

Replicator+duoplet = puffer

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 8, rule = 125/36/3
5.A$4.A4$.A2.A$2A2.2A$.A2.A!

First, an almost spaceship:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 8, rule = 125/36/3
.A2.A$2A2.2A$.A2.A4$.A2.A$A4.A!
Completed (puffer 1):

Code: Select all

And a quadratic growth pattern:

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 13, rule = 125/36/3
2.A2.A$.2A2.2A$2.A2.A2$2.A2.A$.2A2.2A$2.A2.A4$2A4.2A$.2A2.2A$2A4.2A!
Wait, that isn't a quadratic growth since it didn't spawns infinite growths infinitely...
But the reaction is useful if you want to build one.
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit.

something useless:

Code: Select all

 #CXRLE Pos=-8,-6
x = 11, y = 10, rule = B3/S23
